"Elder June, you are sentenced to life in prison"
Quote of the week explanation
It's a bit hard at times to come up with memorable quotes when one is trapped in ones apartment all week. The best I could come up with is this; it's something my companion said completely out of the blue, with no context or anything. Interesting times.
Oh boy.
I wasn't going to have much to write about this week.
And then general conference happened.
It was quite a weekend. We still couldn't leave our apartment, so we watched conference from our phones. It was certainly memorable.
To avoid profaning what is good and holy by acting overly self-righteous about it, I will limit my comments on the matter to several dry remarks.
It was fantastic.
Cutting straight to the most memorable part, they have announced plans to have a temple in China! That's insane. Although from what President Nelson said it will be a bit different from the other temples, that's a huge step in a positive direction for the church in China. Crazy how fast things seem to be progressing at times.
Coronavirus continues to annoy. Can't go out, so things are just... Hard. The shelter in place was supposed to end tomorrow, but they've extended it to May 3, so we've still got another month of this.
Oof.
I hope my sanity doesn't crumble past what it's already at.
Anyway, I won't bore you with any more.
Bye.
-Ben
P.S. I was pleased that those present at general conference were observing social distance requirements. It was kind of funny to see them all sitting six feet apart.
P.P.S. I don't know what else to write.
P.P.P.S. Generally, it is not an accepted practice to beat up random people in public. Just thought I send you a reminder.
